Before going to the comic festival, I met up with my friend at causeway bay. While we were walking to Wai Chai, I saw this noodle place which has the same name as the one I tried in Macau so I asked my friend if she was interested in wonton noodles. We both ordered the sauced noodles with shrimp row and wonton. The presentation was nicely done. There were lots of egg noodles and shrimp roe on top. The egg noodles was definitely different compare to the others, it was stretchy and smooth. The shrimp roe was not fishy, it gave out a salty taste and tasted so good with the noodles. Each of the wonton had a shrimp inside with minced pork. The marinated minced pork was delicious. The pastry was smooth and thin.

My friend was craving for some congee as well so we got the dried fish maw and dried oyster congee. These two ingredients made the best combination congee ever. We were amazed with the size of the dried oyster because we thought they will only use the small one BUT they used the big on so the congee was so tasty. The fish maw was big and crunchy. It wasn't soft so it was quite hard to tear apart. The congee itself was smooth, soft and concentrated.

Turnip cake came with the congee as a set. They were so yummy, I love pan-fried turnip cake! They were hot and soft with lots of ingredients. I could taste Chinese sausage, dried shrimp and turnip crumbs.

I actually wanted to get the deep-fried fish ball but my friend said it was too oily so we ended up with the steamed minced dace fish ball. It came on a plate with some lettuce on the side. The dace fish ball was quite big; the mixture of ginger and spring onion made the dace fish less fishy. It tasted good with the spicy soy sauce. But I still think that the deep-fried one will taste better.
