My friends and I had the set dinners.

All of the appetizers were high quality, including the bread baskets. I'd definitely recommend the abalone (soft and full of flavour that went really well with a tasty dressing) and diced tuna wasabi dip with chips. The guacamole dip is a great option too if you're not a fan of sashimi. The salad leaves were fresh - a big tick from me.

The daily soup was a tomato and prawn soup. The tomato flavour was intense with a hint of prawn. Soups like this are great. It's always disappointing to taste bland or watery soups.

I had the roasted African chicken. The meat wasn't dried out and I liked the spices on the chicken skin. BUT what I loved was the
Australian beef cheek stewed in red wine. It was the BEST. I've never had meat this soft before (it's different from the texture of high quality wagyu beef). It was melt in the mouth. I also tried my friends' cod, lamb, pork and ribeye steak. Everything, even the sides like mashed potatoes and veg tasted really good and was well cooked.

Desserts were delicious too. The desserts included in the set that night were an apple crumble, a macaron and watermelon. I had an extra half a macaron because they were really good.

Top dishes for me were: abalone, diced wasabi tuna and chips, guacamole, Australian beef cheek stewed in red wine, and the grilled miso black cod fish.

In terms of service, it was excellent. Our water was attentive and polite and kept giving us water refills.

You've gotta give this place a try if you want top quality, yummy food in a relaxed environment.
