I decided to come to this joint after reading the reviews. When I arrived past 3pm, there was already a lineup but lucky for me, I was only eating alone. So I sat down as I was ushered in and gave me the menu to tick on. The interior is unique since I don't see this kind very often in HK. Minus the cramped space, the interior, style plus the atmosphere resembles that in Taiwan (obviously since the owner is from Kaohsiung).Just as I just finished snapped those two pictures, my bowl of meat with p
Just as I just finished snapped those two pictures, my bowl of meat with pork fat came. Super quick! Also ordered salty chicken pops. At first bite, the flavor is different. Something I've never tasted before even in Taiwan. The used a special blend of spices that was good but not addicting. Has the right kick for me. The overall seasonings, spices, marination time&method, adding to those the very thin and light coating they wrapped this poultry into made the chicken pops tender and light. My only problem for this was that the seasoning is a tad bit too salty. Lastly, I tried their brown sugar pearl milk tea. They ran out of pearls so quickly but that's ok for me. I just went with coconut jelly instead. Was still priced at $29 even though they ran out of pearls of course! My total came up close to HKD$100.
I would go back if I'm around the area. Not an addictive place to go to but I'm guessing this is the closest, cheapest place that resembles dirt-cheap Taiwanese cart meals.
