went there for dinner last night (13 May 2010) with the She Who Must Be Obeyed, my little princess and the our maid. They arrived there at about quarter past 7pm. I was late and when I arrived, my family had already ordered -瑶柱蛋白炒饭 - well fried, not oily, hot when served, and was my daughter's favourite dish.上海春卷 - 3 pieces, again, crispy and not oily.三鲜锅贴 - 4 pieces, the skin was a bit thick but the meat inside was very juicy, bite size.蒸银丝卷 - not the best I have. 上海春卷 - 3 pieces, again, crispy and not oily.
三鲜锅贴 - 4 pieces, the skin was a bit thick but the meat inside was very juicy, bite size.
蒸银丝卷 - not the best I have. My daughter like to have it with condensed milk.
After I have arrived, I have ordered additional dishes -
素菜饱 - 4 pieces. With something like pak choi inside. very delicious.
四喜烤夫 - (not baking a husband, but I don't know how to write the proper name) nothing special, but the dish reminds me that there were canned 烤夫 available in supermarkets in the good old days but I have not seen such canned 烤夫 for ages.
北京葱油饼 - 2 pieces. a bit too oily.
All the food was served hot.
Service was great. When I arrived, I wanted to order 狗不理 as well but the waitress reminded me that I might have ordered too much. She was right. I could not finish all the food with some 葱油饼 left behind. The same waitress kept refilling our tea, and took away emptied dises.
My wife ordered 人参乌龙。 The tea was great and was still tasted good after refilling several times. Now I am getting old, and started enjoying hot Chinese tea, rather than coffee when I was young.
I paid $263 for 3 adults and a kid. HSBC credit card holders enjoy 10% off.
