At  first we thought it was new but upon looking up past reviews, it's been here for a long time! We just never noticed it before. Always up for dessert, we went in.

The dessert shop is spacious as far as dessert shops are. It wasn't too cramped. Menu is in Chinese and English. I didn't expect it to have English in an area like Sham Shui Po but they do.  However, they have a seasonal special menu that is in Chinese only.

Coconut Jelly ($38). Boyfriend ordered this as he loves coconut. I'm not a big coconut fan so he obviously enjoyed it quite a bit. He said the pudding was smooth with a strong coconut taste.

Mango Pomelo with Mango Soup ($28). I had this and it was a larger portion size than most places I've had this. The mango was sweet and balanced by the bitterness that is usually found in pomelo. So, I suspect they really do add pomelo juice with the mango puree.  Pretty delicious.

Taro Dessert Soup ($38). As this is the seasonal special, it was only in Chinese so I had to translate the name in English for the English readers. This is what peaked boyfriend's eye when he was glancing at the seasonal special as he loves any starchy type food like potatoes and taro. And this is everything that was in his dreams. This taro dessert soup also had a yellow sweet potato, a purple sweet potato, some jube jubes, barley, two black sesame tong yuen and two taro balls. The interesting thing about the taro balls is that inside they were further stuffed with taro paste. Boyfriend's eye glistened with joy when he bit into it. He told me that he had never had it served like this before. He was over come with bliss. He loved it. He said the taro was puree to a smooth consistency. It was rich and warm.

Black Sesame Sweet Soup ($16). Friend had this so I took a scoop. This was excellent and rich in sesame taste. No after taste of flour that I sometimes get in other places. This means they really use a lot of sesame to make this.

Inexpensive desserts. I noticed they also had western style ones like lava cakes for those that like that.  But I love traditional Chinese ones and this place does a really good job of it. Place is quite clean with friendly service despite they were busy. I will be back.
