This area of Sham Shui Po is filled with various coffee shops. But then I came across this one called 迆雪糕专门店 (English name: Hea Ice Cream). It wasn't a coffee shop but it sold ice cream!?!?!They also sold cakes but these didn't look as appealing. The shop is a decent size. There are places to sit with a nice map of Sham Shui Po.Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. The ice cream is vegan but it's the flavors that are most interesting. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. The ice cream is vegan but it's the flavors that are most interesting. You won't find the usual like chocolate and strawberry here. What you'll find is flavors that are reminiscent of Hong Kong food. For $8 you can even add a mini popsicle with Hong Kong style flavors.
I decided to get the Chill Chiu Hea with the popsicle ($46). Iced pineapple with salted lemon special drink flavor. It also had mint leaf and lemon peels on top. You can choose your own popsicle flavor so I chose plum because that as the suggestion so why waver from it?
A decent size soft serve ice cream. It's vegan so they didn't use milk thus, it was a bit icy. More like a sorbet so not as smooth and a bit icy. But the flavors were really good. The pineapple was so intense and it went well with the salty lemon flavor. But the popsicle! Wow. That was good. Exactly like those Chinese preserved plums but in an ice lickable form. And the cone ... very crisp and sweet. Almost like an eggette flavor.
Very interesting creative flavors that remind you of the unique eats in Hong Kong. Ice cream was more like a sorbet but it was good none the less. Definitely different than the usual surrounding coffee shops in the area.
