I have been to Sushi Kuu a few times but always had a la carte as I didn't even know they offered omakase. The last time I was here I sat at the sushi bar which is always my fave place to sit at Japanese restaurants if you are there with just one other person. Chef Satoru will feed you shots of sake called "samurai" which tastes stronger then vodka!!! This time as there were 3 of us we had reservations for a table as it's easier to talk. 2 of us ordered the omakase and my other friend opted for

This time as there were 3 of us we had reservations for a table as it's easier to talk. 2 of us ordered the omakase and my other friend opted for a la carte.
The server asked if there was anything we don't eat, we both said we prefer more seafood instead of meat.
We started with the onsen egg with uni and fish roe. It was just divine! its served cold, nice and refreshing way to start the meal.
After the tempura I was feeling quite full. But then came the grilled fish, the server told me what fish but I wasn't listening. The fish grilled perfectly and came with a wedge of lime which gave it a bit of citrus kick. I think it was grilled hamachi.
This was a milk pudding like panna cotta topped with fresh strawberry puree, not too sweet and great with a glass of green tea to end the meal.
