I was looking for a place to take dinner and chanced upon this place on Open Rice. I was glad to find the place tucked away in a quiet corner, away from the crowded area. And even happier to know that there is no crowd. I was able to get a window seat and see all the books on display. The menu is pretty extensive for a small restaurant with so many choices for pasta and western fare. But I am an egg-lover and thus an egg-benny lover. So I went for thr eggs benedict and was glad that I was able to request for less hollandaise instead of having my eģgs drowning in the sauce. The eggs are really big and the yolks r very well done. Not over cooked and not undercooked. Well poached. The english muffin halves are also not stale. Soft and crisp at the edges.
The Squirramisu struck me as a "Must-eat" the moment I laid eyes on it. Presentation is good. The orange jelly with strawberry is good and does not taste like a sugar-overdose. The tiramisu could be better though. The creamy part is pretty good but the soaked fingers are not equally distributed, probably because of the shape of the glass where all the alcohol is bound to flow to the bottom--- so some parts of the finger bits may be a tad bit dry. On the overall, the dish is worth a try.
