Lived in Hong Kong for 20 odd years and thought we would give this restaurant a try. Having done so wish we had given it a miss.We were seated up stairs in a horrible room with no ventilation and the only time the waiter showed any interest in serving was to bring tea and three small plates of peanuts, soggy cucumber and old cabbage. We were later to learn that his eagerness to please cost us 68 dollars. No one mentioned this at the time. Having ensured the 68 dollars was secured we were left alone despite indicating numerous times that we were ready to order. When our waiter eventually chose to serve us he was disinterested and impatient. Our food took a long time to arrive and although the quality was reasonable by the time it came we were in no mood to enjoy it.
When the bill came it was well over 950 dollars for five small dishes. This is when we discovered the 68 dollars for the awful tea and snacks. We had three diet cokes, two big tsing tao beers and a water these came to well over 200 dollars.
This was an expensive mea,l for what it was, in a restaurant that has seen better days, the staff made little effort and frankly the meal was not worth what we paid.
