My sister was in town visiting so my mum and i thought it would be nice to welcome her home with a nice dim sum lunch. We took my 2 year old daughter and my niece.I made a reservation via the internet and I did make a request for 2 baby chairs but they weren't there when we arrived at our table. I made a reservation via the internet and I did make a request for 2 baby chairs but they weren't there when we arrived at our table. However they were made available to us without much delay.

The service went downhill from there. We were allocated a table in the room at the end towards the right which always makes me nervous because every time I've been in that room, the service was not great. On this occasion, it was no different. We were asked what tea we would like and it only turned up until after a good 10 minutes. Despite a lot of floating waiters bringing things in and out, only 2 waiters seem to be allowed to take orders. Ours obviously messed up our order. Our first dish didn't arrive until almost half an hour after our order was taken and in the end, my mum had to go to the other room to speak to someone who seemed to know what he was doing. Then they missed out 2 dishes which we cancelled and then dared to order desserts, having requested to have some leftover noodles packed up. One of the more competent waiters did actually come over to apologise and said he would offer us desserts for free. We ordered 3 different ones and 6 arrived. We had to ask for the noodles to be packed up again and I asked for the bill at the same time to see what was charged. Strangely instead of offering us our desserts, they chose to bring over 3 other ones which we didn't ask for and hardly touched.

I can't fault the food but the terrible service gave us indigestion. And we never saw our noodles again but could not bring ourselves to ask for them again as we imagined the waiter having to salvage them from the bin.

I really don't understand why there is such difference in the quality of service from the main room. It is like being in two different restaurants.
