Situated on Stanley Main Street, 'Seafront' is in a prime location and you would be forgiven for thinking that a restaurant in such as good location looking on to the tranquilty of the South China Sea would serve food that would tantalise your tastebuds, however this is not the case. Eagerly searching for somewhere to eat, after only glancing at the menu the staff at 'Seafront' where all over us like flies on a corpse and practically dragged us in, in typical HK stlye. Bored of looking anymore - we were in! Due to the sometimes unpredictable nature of food in Hong Kong, we thought it best to stick to the Chinese menu and avoid the Western options offered. We ordered one, Mixed meat fried rice with satay and a sweet and sour fish with steamed rice. In addtion we ordered two Iced Lemon Tea's to quench out thirst.

First to arrive was the iced lemon tea's. On taking one sip I could feel diabetes flashing before my eyes! The drink looked like a iced lemon tea, but in fact was just tea coloured sugar water.

First of all the -Mixed meat fried rice and satay. The rice itself can only be despcribed as something out of packet that had been frozen and defrosted, also the portion was the size of a bowl, which for $108 is a total rip off especially for something which can be summed as being tastless and inediable. To top it all off the satay was an undecribable meat that just seemed to ooze fat, one bite was enough, of this revolting compositon of fat smothered in a brown tastless sauce.

The sweet and sour fish with steamed rice was no better. The sweet and sour can be summed up as tastless which goes for the whole dish. After only a few bites I couldn't bare to eat anymore.

I STRONGLY advise that you do NOT go to this restuarant. When the bill arrived for our meal we felt like we had been mugged. The food at this restuarant is tastless, inedibale and of very poor quality which on the whole is severly overpriced. How on earth this restaurant has survived in Stanley is beyond me. Do not waste your time going to 'Seafront' or risk being disappointed.
