After having a not too full lunch at Disneyland, a few of us headed to Tsing Yi to eat something. Not knowing what to eat, we came to a cha chan teng and ordered the tea sets. The place was fairly busy and it was hard to find a table. The restaurant had closed off an area but when we couldn't find a table, they quickly opened up a table for us in the closed area.I ordered the bbq duck with rice noodles. I ordered the bbq duck with rice noodles. At the front of the restaurant, the duck hung on hooks and were dripping in oil and looked moist enough. When it arrived to me, it was dry and tough. Noodles were bland. I suppose I should appreciate they didn't add enough MSG? $18 without a drink. I added a ice lemon tea for $7. Boyfriend ordered fried chicken thigh with fruit salad. Salad just tasted sour and was bit wet. The fruit was canned as expected. It was odd they added nata de coco. The chicken was also dry and tough. His set included a drink was a total of $26. Typical neighbourhood cha chan teng that is not good but popular as it caters to the locals. Won't return as well....I don't live here.
