Came to Emerald for dinner with a friend. We had 4 dishes and were very full. The food is beautifully presented and the flavours and textures are fantastic. Unfortunately though the setting feels more like a canteen with its bright light and loud (but friendly) staff.Dan Dan Noodles: tasty but not really Dan DanSweet and sour monkey head mushroom: I no longer want to eat the original Gu Lao Rou - this was a pleasant surprise with the MH mushroom providing a surprising firm texture.Karana special

Sweet and sour monkey head mushroom: I no longer want to eat the original Gu Lao Rou - this was a pleasant surprise with the MH mushroom providing a surprising firm texture.
Karana special: I don’t remember the name of this dish but Karana is a new vegetarian meat made from jackfruit - and it perfectly resembles fatty mince meat. At least these balls had the same texture. Sauce was nice.
Bean curd sheet rolls with Tom Yung Gong sauce: again, lots of texture and the sauce came in a nice sticky way.
Would definitely come back for the food (as non-vegetarian); it’s just such a shame the setting is a bit mediocre. BYOB as they don’t sell alcohol.
