Wanting to try out Pizza Maru for a long time and since we are at Tsuen Wan today, we planned to have our dinner there tonight. It was located at Citywalk, several minutes walk from Tsuen Wan West MTR.Even though we reached pretty early at around 630pm, the restaurant was already full, with plenty of people queuing outside. Even though we reached pretty early at around 630pm, the restaurant was already full, with plenty of people queuing outside. Luckily the turnover was quick, thus we did not need to wait that long. Their menu was comprehensive, offering a wide range of Korean fusion dishes such as fried chicken, pizza, appetizers, salad, pasta, risotto and drinks etc.
Pineapple flora iced tea was sweet and refreshing, good to have during this hot summer. It was sweet, with strong pineapple taste.
Deep fried crab meat cheesy ball with Maru tomato sauce - The skin was fried till soft and crispy, and the filling inside was full of crab meat. Tomato sauce provided go along with it nicely, making it appetizing and sweet in taste.
Curry Soy fried chicken - We decided to go for this flavour since it was not available in most Korean fried chicken restaurant. Surprisingly, it was done nicely, with strong curry smell when served. The skin was crispy and the meat was chewy and flavourful, absorbing the essence of the curry.
Hot chicken and prawn pizza with mocha cheese edge crust - We go for the unconventional choice again, with mocha cheese edge. When we were eating the crust, it has strong mocha taste and cheesy as there were alot of cheese inside the crust. The chef was generous with the fillings, with plenty of prawn and chicken on top, which were fresh and chewy. The spicy flavour of the filling balance nicely with the sweet taste of the crust.
