We ordered a soju to start the evening and a small plate of spicy raw octopus. The octopus was fresh with a touch spicy but not too bad.
The restaurant gave us a variety of Korean appetizers: kimchi, bean sprouts, sesame spinach, rolled egg, spicy tofu, fish cakes, little hamburger patties. All were good and they refilled without question.
Spicy chicken with potatoes. It was a bit too spicy for me. But most of my friends considered it just ok.
Seafood pancake was soft and a decent amount of seafood. Nice flavor. Not bland.
We ordered a vegetable rice bimbap. First time I've ever seen it come separately from the rice. The vegetables were crisp. The rice warm enough to heat the raw egg.
Onion fried chicken. We ordered half a portion so this was about 6-7 pieces. The onions were flavorednicely and not just plain raw. The chicken was juicy. Pretty good! And no lines like the other places.
Braised short ribs was the winner of the evening! The meat fell off the bone easily. It had a perfect mixture of sweet and salty. Decent portion size.
We finished the night with a few BBQ items. Beef short rib, chicken and pork. Marinated well. Cuts were good.
At the end of our meal, the restaurant gave us a small glass of sour plum tea to finish the night.
