Waow! A Christmas Dinner was all set and go... the non-stopping excitment for the festival season has just started. While watching our diet carefully, but still cannot resist of all the good food ahead. This year, a nice ambience was set for our whole family by my elder sister at the Nino's Cozinha. This year, a nice ambience was set for our whole family by my elder sister at the Nino's Cozinha.
The service was good, she must have had "paid" a lot of her visits to this place before she has us all invited for this special treat.
Do not ask how much this dinner cost! But, we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere....
Started with Welcome Bread - Warm and soft.
We had a few starters, they are:
Pity that the Blue Mussels were replaced with Clams in White Wine Sauce, but still very juicy:
Mid Courses with:
Roast Suckling Pig & Roast Leg of lamb
Never have had Portuguese who made so crispy skin. Very well done!
Very tender meat.
Come after the Mid Courses, there were 4 main courses and vegetables.
They really made fantastic rice dishes, particularly the Duck Rice was great, it was dried and chewy. The sea food rice was covered with a lot of varity of seafood but could be made drier.
The Baked Sea Pawns with Pepercorn was brilliantly done. It filled the whole restaurant with the aroma of pepercorn. Stimulated your appetite after already rounds of great food. The spicy Chicken which could be cooked longer time to avoid the red in the bone and the Salted Cod was very tradition dish.
We would never have left without the desert & coffee and made the entire dinner perfectly.
