Let’s start with the starter. First, I ordered a truffle mushroom soup for 68hkd which was a great price for what I got. The dish was plated nicely and the taste for the soup was very rich with truffle but there wasn't much taste of mushroom. I ordered a burger which is one of the easiest dishes to make off the menu but it was awful. I have no clue, how a western high dining restaurant get a burger wrong.
Let's start with the plating, the burger bun was first of all black which doesn’t make it very appetising. Then some of the fries that came with the burger was placed between the burger and the server that was serving that was trying to hide it by trying to place it out of my viewing range. A responsible server would have took it back and got it fix in the kitchen in a real fine dining restaurant.
Since I am on the topic of fries. Let me give my opinion on it. The fries were just a level better than McDonald’s. I know, I shouldn’t be able to compare the two but in this insist I can. The fries weren’t even crispy and they were over salty.
The burger bun, was black and wasn’t toasted which made the bun very soft and soggy. The beef patty was changed to a soft and tender brisket which was the only standout in this whole meal.
I would give this main course a rating of 2.5/5.
Let’s talk about the dessert choices that I have. All the dessert that was offer were sweet and after eating the fatty dishes. I would have loved to eat something that wasn’t filling but that wasn’t any of the options that were available.
Since I am done talking about the meal. Let’s talk about the staff and environment. The staff aren’t very attentive since I saw a diner that dropped a fork and the 6 server in a room that wasn’t full didn’t even notice. The environment of this place was pretty clean and quiet but the problem is that it doesn’t have a view.
Overall I would give this restaurant a 2.5/5. I was expecting better.
