Its easy to eat in HK if you're feeling peckish or hungry. Endless food stalls and noodle places too choose from but if you're busy in a shopping mall, nothing beats a quick visit to the food court for quick and easy bites. We came across this little Japanese place and there was que and an open planned kitchen where you could watch your little balls of wonder (takoyaki) getting made right in front of you. It was easy, we ordered a set meal (E) which came with 6 takoyaki balls and a seafood flavour pancake dough smothered in teriyaki mayonnaise and nori flakes.

The place was relatively busy so a little wait wad needed but wasn't too long. Our food came and the first thing was we noticed they had no where to sit. Strange but we found a seat around the corner on another stall. The takoyaki balls were not cooked long enough, the dough felt too soft and the seafood inside was missing in one or two balls. The sauce and nori flakes did taste good but slightly dissatisfied with the balls, think they just rushed it. The pancake was slightly better but still felt the dough was undercooked and felt too mushy for our liking.

Overall the taste wasn't bad if they has just cooked it a little longer so the outside wad crispy and centre was soft, but what can you expect for $38 right. It is Hong Kong after all....
