A Saturday decided to try out some local market breakfast. We went to Nam Long Shan Road Cooked Food market. We were lucky to grab a seat before the upcoming queue. We ordered shredded ham macaroni with fried well done egg and sausage served with butter toast and porridge with egg sandwich.Ham macaroni was alright, tasted like cha chaan ting outside. Ham macaroni was alright, tasted like cha chaan ting outside. Macaroni itself was a bit overcooked. Fried egg was nice. Crispy edge with well done egg yolk. No runny egg white at all. Sausage was pan fried, not too greasy. Bread were slight toast and buttered.
Porridge was unexpectedly fresh made and boiling hot. It was runny when it was hot. I left it aside and finished the egg sandwich first. Egg was thinly cooked, not as thick and as smooth as outside. Bread was slight buttered. After eating the sandwich, porridge finally thickened and cooler. It was very milky, not sweet at all. Not bad.
We ordered normal coffee and a black one. Both were roasty. Not bad.
Anyway, an experience of local market and food experience.
