La Sandwicherie is a newly opened take-away restaurant featuring authentic but affordable French cuisine. The name sounded familiar? Yes, it has taken over the space of La Rotisserie in Sheung Wan, while La Rotisserie is now moved to its opposite shop. La Sandwicherie serves all homemade sandwiches with fresh bread and ingredients. Its bread is specially made by four seasons chef, with a texture between ciabatta and baguette. Customers can choose either dark rye or pure white bread. The taste be
During lunch time, you made grab a quick bite by purchasing a sandwich or a set lunch which has two sandwiches and a soup or ice tea with an additional $10. The restaurant has told that they wish to have faster service so as to maximise the profit during lunch time, and they will be offering delivery very soon! So stay tuned for that! We had tried a few different types of their most famous sandwiches with different ingredients, sauce and type of bread. Each sandwich was assembled and toasted upon orders, and nice wrapping and bagging were a must for a good take-away shop.
Le Brie ($32)
Brie, Apple, Walnut, Truffle Vinaigrette
Our favourite among all three. We highly recommend you to have the sandwich toasted to melt the cheese a little bit. The sauce was actually blended eggplants which surprisingly went well with the rich and strong brie cheese flavour! Le Saumon ($38)
Salmon, Cream, Chives, Lemon, Capers
The classic combination of all time. The key factor of this sandwich would be the smoked salmon, which they have nailed. The fresh and savoury smoked salmon with light cucumber and chives cream cheese can never fail. Le Poulet ($25)
Chicken, Mayonnaise, Tarragon, Salad, Tomatoes
One of the non-vegetarian sandwich served with white bun. The chicken was moist and tender. We were told that the meat, the seasoning and the cooking methods are all different from the La Rotisserie on the opposite of the street.
