Was my first time dining at Holy Crab since their reopening a couple weeks ago, and boy have their whole decor changed! Being an avid pool player myself, first thing I noticed were the pool tables set up on the sides of the restaurant. I asked the waiter if anyone could play and they said yes but that I would have to wait until at least after 10pm since they didn't want it to interfere with the guests' dining experience; which is fair enough! On to the main event, we were here for a friend's birthday and naturally the alcohol started flowing! Everyone was hungry so we ordered a whole lot of appetizers and mains to share (I swear the staff must think we are nuts to eat and drink that much 🙈)
First to come was the "7 Styles of Heaven" fries platter, which true to its name, had 7 different styles of fries for our tasting pleasure. I really, really liked the Texas Twister Fries and the Beef Concarne Fries on this platter, but thought the Truffle Cheese Fries could have used a little bit more truffle! Each of these styles were available for separate order so next time I'll focus on ordering the ones I liked!

Next was a dish that I insisted on ordering as an appetizer to share even though it's technically a sandwich! The Bacon-wrapped Hotdog!! 😍😍 As soon as I saw this on the menu I knew I had to try it... Bacon+Hotdog... the two best things in the world hahaha. It completely lived up to expectations, with the sausage wrapped inside multiple layers of bacon and covered with a really tasty sauce. I think it might have been some sort of Cajun cream sauce? Definitely ordering this again!

We also ordered a really interesting dish called the Hot Beef Sundae, which looks exactly like an icecream but actually filled with beef, mashed potatoes and hot gravy!

On to the mains! First up was the Lobster Linguine that our waiter highly recommended to us, and after a couple bites I could tell why! The linguine was flavorful with a distinct garlicky taste and a hint of spice, though the noodles were cooked a slight bit too much for my taste. But it was the lobster meat that truly took my breath away. Normally for a dish like this you would expect the lobster meat to be soft and maybe even a little mushy, due to the boiling of the meat... but the chef at Holy Crab somehow managed to make the meat crispy! yes crispy!! It was like nothing I have ever tasted before and I'm an avid seafood lover. The lobster meat was fresh and flavorful, and it's taste shone and stood out amongst the other flavors of the linguine's sauce! Truly amazing!

Another main that we got to share was the BBQ Ribs. We ordered a couple full racks since we had so many people. The ribs were good in general, and the BBQ sauce was on point. Was slightly disappointed with the meat however, and thought it could have been more juicy and succulent! Was a good dish nevertheless.

By this point we were all getting a little bit tipsy on the champagne and decided to order some more snacks to go with the booze. Most of these were second helpings of what we had before, but we opted for the Lobster fries instead of the whole platter. These fries were really tasty as well, and true to form, the lobster meat was just as crispy and delicious as the linguine.

We finished the night off with some nice USDA steaks, but I forgot to take pictures of those since I was already kinda drunk by that point 🙈😂. Guess I'll just have to come back and order again next time hahaha 😂
After the meal, we were offered a whole bunch of different activities to play inside the restaurant. Each of these are readily available to any customers and do not require prebooking! We opted to play some pool and some games of Stack Cup, and eventually translated to playing some games of darts! Throughout the night we decided to go all out and played each game with wagers of alcohol! (Not our smartest decision haha and we were all quite drunk when we finally left!)
All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends! My friend had an amazing birthday and none of us left sober! I hope to come back again soon to try some of the other dishes they have on offer, hopefully they won't remember how drunk we were the last time! 😂🙈
