Went to meet a friend from high school which we haven’t met for almost 10 years!!!! We both like to try new things and decided to give this new bar and restaurant BaoBei a try 😋 We didn’t book a table and arrived at around 6:45pm. There was only one table with people at that moment. I reckon you should book a table for Friday nights or weekends. The restaurant is located at the very top of Lan Kwai Fong, so you have to get yourself pass most bars before you reach it. The restaurant is located at the very top of Lan Kwai Fong, so you have to get yourself pass most bars before you reach it. The restaurant is well-decorated in a vintage asian style, the cuisine is fusion. You would see very asian drinks such as yakult, vitasoy mixed with alcohol; western food with an asian twist that spices up your taste buds!! Food and drinks range from $8X-$1XX.

From Instagram I could see many people trying the vitasoy alcoholic drink, so it was a must order drink for me 😋 I would never thought of mixing vitasoy with rum but the combination tasted well together!! 🍸My friend ordered Geisha Kiss cocktail, it had a very appealing presentation and the drink was very refreshing. 👍🏻

For food we ordered 3 dishes to share: char siu fried egg burger, roast duck udon pizza and the mapo tofu with fries. The pizza was my favourite (very crunchy pizza based with flavoured roasted duck meat) and the fries were my friend’s favourite. Since they were mostly carbohydrates, we were quickly filled.
洛神花cheesecake 山楂底

Since the waitress told us that there is a 30% discount on drinks during the happy hour from 7-8pm, we quickly ordered another set of drinks before 8pm to go with the dessert - 洛神花cheesecake with a 山楂 base. (Unfortunately I don’t know the English name for that 😂) Both the 洛神花&山楂 give a little sour taste, but the cheesecake kind of balances it out so it was alright. The cheesecake tasted more like a mousse to me, very creamy.
It was a great catch up with my long-time-no-see friend tonight and the place was great for chatting as it wasn’t too noisy / busy with people.
