There is something about a big Aussie (or English) breakfast laden with eggs, warm toast, baked beans (YES!!) and sausages that is just so comforting and satisfying. After trying the Croque Madam and coffee at 18 Grams (which are both very very good) a few times, I finally had the opportunity to sample the Aussie breakfast... at lunch time.Honestly, there is nothing fancy about these big breakfast, but to get everything right somehow manages to elude a lot of restaurants. I am happy to report
Honestly, there is nothing fancy about these big breakfast, but to get everything right somehow manages to elude a lot of restaurants. I am happy to report that everything tastes good on my plate, including the sausage. To me, the best part of the breakfast, and the definitive sign of a good breakfast, is being able to mop up the last morsel of baked beans and last drop of egg yolk with the remaining piece of toast, leaving a completely empty plate. This is what polishing off your plate of food truly means. Burp.
