Second time visiting the Shelter Lounge, one of my favourite restaurant in SYP. This time I am coming here to enjoy a long relaxing afternoon golden tea with my friend.This time I was sitting on the lower floor enjoying the nice sunlight during the weekend. The staff were helpful and professional with their serviceThe golden tea set comes with a few choices of savory and sweet canapes, along with two warm raisin scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam. The golden tea set comes with a few choices of savory and sweet canapes, along with two warm raisin scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam.

Egg and salmon roe on charcoal toast - two of my favourite protein sources served on crispy toast, although the toast was already a bit soggy and soft after letting out too long
Smoked salmon on charcoal toast - the salmon slice was okay but I had to give up the toast
Prawn tempura - the batter was light and not too bready which I preferred
Sea urchin cucumber on toast - most luxurious bite from the tea set, yet again, served on a sliced of charcoal toast

Mango panna cotta - fresh mango can always go well with some smooth and creamy panna cotta full with the aroma from vanilla bean seeds
Lemon macaron - a bit too sweet to my liking and it was a bit chewy after letting out for too long
Lemon tart - like any other lemon tart, it was topped with chopped pastachio nuts
Chocolate mousse tart - believed semi dark chocolate was used since it was a bit sweetened overall

Shore Lounge is famous for its scrumptious fresh seafood. With no exception, their sea urchin canapes was the best among all. The savoriness from the uni and the freshness from cucumber was a good match. Wish I could have another one!

Don't miss out the buttery raisin scones while they were still warm. Do you put jam first or clotted cream first? I don't have a preference as long as I have both smeared on my scones. Love how they were slightly crunchy on the edge but all soft inside.
