The food is cheap and pretty good, certainly compared to normal bar food.
The drinks menu is simple, and is mostly local beers.
The co-owner Nathan is friendly and approachable.
One of the bar staff (Harry?) is hard working and has good people skills.
The bad:
Generally the service is slow. It's hard to tell who is working. Usually there are a few people sitting around eating food or chatting. Are they the staff? It's hard to tell. Getting served takes a bit of effort.
The cocktails have very little alcohol. Case in point: I absolutely hate tequila so a margarita is my idea of hell. But the margaritas here are nice because... not much tequila.
Overcharging. This is a big problem here. I don't understand how it consistently happens. When I get my bill they've almost always added on a drink or two. When I point it out, they immediately, and guiltily, refund the extra charge. But why does this keep happening?
The other co-owner, Charlie, is unfriendly and unapproachable, but I guess she's the business person while Nathan is the people person.
The urinal in the men's toilet has been broken forever. The cubicle has no door.
Overall I like this bar, but it needs a manager.
