Saw the half price Peking duck promotion while waiting for my takeaway lunchbox (which was tiny in amount and so-so in taste, btw) so grabbed a table at short notice before the long weekend. Duck was every bit worth it, meat succulent and the skin crispy and delicious, the pancakes also exceeded expectations with their own flavour and good texture. 题外话/补充资料:
Very good service from our waitress, water topped up and wine glasses provided upon request. The order and speed of dishes being served was also exactly as we asked, that is a huge plus as my pet hate is for Chinese restaurants to rush all the dishes onto the table at once, without any regard for starter and mains and temperature-sensitive dishes got swamped by distractions.
The hot water we asked for came to HKD100 in the end. Hot boiled water from the tap for a hundred dollars - seriously! I suppose half-price duck has to be recompensed somewhere else.
