Good Quality Food But Bad Service

I have heard about this restaurant for quite some time already, and eventually, after 3 attempts over 2 months, I was finally able to make a booking for a table for dinner with my family last week. We were really looking forward for the dinner as my friends said the food was really delicious. On that night, we arrived the restaurant on time. I have heard about this restaurant for quite some time already, and eventually, after 3 attempts over 2 months, I was finally able to make a booking for a table for dinner with my family last week. We were really looking forward for the dinner as my friends said the food was really delicious. On that night, we arrived the restaurant on time. The restaurant is very nicely decorated, with a sense of intimacy and privacy. The waiter led us to our table and gave us the menu. One point to highlight about the menu was that some of the english translation was quite wierd, and maybe not really legible to foreigners at times. There was a woman who seems to be the owner of the restaurant who kept walking around and talking quite loudly with some of the customers at the tables, which, frankly speaking, was quite disturbing given the high-class ambience and the relatively close distance between tables in this restaurant. This woman came and took our order and made some pricey recommendations like abalone and fish maw, but since my mum was a vegetarian and we are here for a normal family dinner, we didn't want to order such heavy and pricey food, therefore, we asked her to recommend some "normal" dishes. To our astonishment, she showed a rather impatient attitude at once and asked us what "normal" dishes do we want. This made us feel very embarrassing at once and we didn't know how to react, as if we didn't have enough money to pay the bills. Luckily I was having this dinner with my family rather than my clients, otherwise it would be really embarrassing for me. Anyways, we eventually have our food ordered and eaten and the food quality was really good. Me and my family were very satisfied with the food, but I truly believe that the woman there has a serious attitude problem which has yet to be improved.
