This small shop offered soups, salads and sandwiches and would be a good choice for lunch. A lunch set ($78) included a soup of regular size (with either cheddar cheese or bread crumbs as topping), and a box of salad with a maximum of three choices. Five kinds of salad and about five (couldn't remember exactly) kinds of salad were offered. The choices of salad were quite special and would not be found at those common restaurants. I ordered a lunch set and had the tomato & basil soup. For the salad, (1) pasta with blue cheese; (2) antichoke salad; (3) Potato with sausage salad.
The tomato & basil soup was concentrated, tasty and was not salty. I haven't tried adding cheddar cheese on top of the soup, and it was nice! Especially when tasted it when the cheese was partly melted by the heat of the soup!
For the salads, counting from left to right(1) Pasta with blue cheese - OK. The paste was plain, the blue cheese had a strong flavour, and they were mixed with basil sauce. The mixture was a good trial, but I found that the blue cheese dominated the taste and so overall the dish could not achieve a balanced flavour.
(2) Antichoke - Very good. The salad had antichoke, peppers and feta cheese in vinegar. The feta cheese was soft and was delicious! The sour flavour made this dish appertizing.
(3) Potato with sausage - Very good. The potato was tender and soft. The sauce had a slight sweet flavour and the whole dish was fresh.
The lunch set had made me very full and at such cost I considered it very valuable.
Regarding the service, the chef and his staff were nice and friendly.
As the service was good, the food was delicious and economical, I will definitely visit it again!!!
