After reading all the happy reviews from here, we made a reservation to try La Postre for a good old Friday night dinner. With high hopes, we queued up for a while to get into the building, not knowing the obscure normality of how people get back out of this building!We finished our food and was ready to leave quite early to move to a different place for drinks, we stood outside their restaurant (really stuffy with no AC) waited for a lift for 10 mins, only to notice both of the lifts has skipp
We finished our food and was ready to leave quite early to move to a different place for drinks, we stood outside their restaurant (really stuffy with no AC) waited for a lift for 10 mins, only to notice both of the lifts has skipped our floor twice. We did not know what was going on, so went back into the restaurant to ask how we could leave, I was not prepared to walk down the stairs given we were on the 19/F. The lady in the restaurant then told us it's peak hour right now, we have to call downstairs for the lift to stop on this floor, so my question is... why didn't she offer to do that when she said goodbye to us knowing we were leaving?
First of all, this is not normal yet they made it sound like it was normal to have to call downstairs to get the lift to stop on your floor, what's the button for?! Secondly, the restaurant staff was not helpful in not informing us that this was necessary! Thirdly, there were no notices on the lift or corridor to inform us that we had to call for a lift! This place is weird! I mean, what is the point of having a lift button when it doesn't call a lift regardless whether it is peak or non peak hours?!!!!!
I actually question whether this building and this place have a fire hazard with the number of restaurants in this building and the amount of junk along the corridor!
