Great brunch options 👏

Brunch places these days are always crowded with people and with the popular ones, you'd have to wait ages to get a table. That's how my Sunday started out, but instead of waiting, we decided to find someplace else instead. We were around Sheung Wan a little after 11am and walked by The Cupping Room, it wasn't busy and we knew they had a good selection of brunch options so we stopped here. The menu has a pretty good variety of brunch dishes, so you'd definitely find something that would fill you

The menu has a pretty good variety of brunch dishes, so you'd definitely find something that would fill your brunch cravings. I like that they offer pasta options and add ons too. The drink menu is pretty standard as well.

 Not a bad matcha latte, but with the rising popularity of matcha around HK these days, this one could use a stronger matcha flavour. I thought it was a bit milky and a little too sweet. That's just a personal preference, I know plenty of people who enjoy matcha this way!

As per usual, I wanted eggs on toast so I went for an all-time brunch classic: the eggs benedict. It comes with slices of grapefruit and orange on the side, which I thought was a bit random, but I didn't really mind it. The 2 slices of toast was nicely toasted and not too thick. The poached eggs were runny, and the salmon was tasty too. No complaints from me across the board!

My friend got the crab & avocado toast, we both initially thought it was going to be piled on top of bread so we were surprised when it came to the table like this! That's why she ordered an egg on the side too. The avocado came mashed, the crab was placed on top, and topped with salmon roe. The portion of avocado and crab was generous, so although it didn't come with much toast, it didn't need any extra for it to be a filling meal. Together, it was pretty yummy! 😍


Overall, a pretty good brunch place to go, especially if you want to avoid the Sunday brunch crowd and skip the line. Not a bad choice for a Sunday morning!
