After a day of tiring work, I dated my friend for an afternoon near her workplace. She proposed we tried SP Flower & Tea Room as the decoration there was romantic and the cakes looked pretty. Once we entered the tea room, we were totally amazed by the flowery decoration. This was really a dream place for girl dates. After studying the menu for a while, we decided to order two different cakes and two pots of flower tea. The cakes which we ordered were named Bliss and SP Bouquet. There was indeed

Once we entered the tea room, we were totally amazed by the flowery decoration. This was really a dream place for girl dates. After studying the menu for a while, we decided to order two different cakes and two pots of flower tea. The cakes which we ordered were named Bliss and SP Bouquet. There was indeed nothing to complain about their appearance, they looked as beautiful and delicate as they appeared on the menu. For Bliss, it tasted as expected. The fruity flavour could be recognised. The sweet and sour taste of black currents matched with the milky taste of the yoghurt. We enjoyed eating this piece of cake. However, the other one—SP Bouquet was a bit disappointing. Firstly, the various tastes mentioned in the menu were not obvious. We could only recognize the sweetness and sourness of the berries. Yet, the scents of tea, lychee and rose were so light that we could hardly notice them. The most disappointing part was the “too-moist” sponge. As shown in the picture, it is quite clear that the bottom part of the sponge turned darker, which implies that it was moistened. It affected the texture of the cake a lot and we were upset by this.
Overall, the environment was really relaxing. Yet, the cakes could taste better than just being photogenic.
