I have no idea why the write-ups are so negative, cos after 1 year of constant 4 days/week visits to this little restaurant/diner, I have come to the conclusion that given the average price of $70-$100 /person for 3 meat / vegetable dishes, rice and soup, and possibly a drink to go with the meal, it's about the best place around Tin Hau, be the cost just slightly on the high side, except for lunches, which is a paltry $34 incl. of one main rice dish+soup+drink, tasty, ample and of excellent valu
As for dinners, the meats and fish are normally deliciously prepared as well as the vegetables, soup of the day is greatly appreciated as I'm a soup lover, service is friendly, decor is pleasant, not offensive in the least and thank heavens NO blaring TV sets.
So are we talking about the same restaurant folks? Or are we talking about their new sister establishment known as "Shek Kee Kitchen" on Ngan Mok Street which is a different story altogether, first and foremost the menu is ridiculously priced but since it's only opened a few weeks ago, I have to give them time to settle in before I make further judgment.
