This place is a secret haven. We went on a feeling that it would be good and were rewarded with good food. They actually had a private party coming later in the evening, but fitted us in before it was due to start. The lassis were good - standard fare really. The kashmiri naan and the mint paratha were also good, but standard. The first curry was vegetable koftas in a korma sauce and tasted great. The koftas had great texture and were really satisfying on the palate. The second curry was a multiple vegetable sweet sauced offering. It was OK. A little on the sweet side for us, but I figure that was just our taste.
The most memorable dish was the momos. I have had momos in various places, but these (chicken) ones were the best either of us had eaten. They were perfectly spiced and seasoned and they were juicy. These little flavourful bombs exploded in the mouth and accompanied by an almost gazpacho-like chili sauce, they were a real highlight.
We will absolutely be returning and eating those fabulous momos. Next time, we will probably just order from the Nepalese specials menu, rather than the Indian curry menu. Some of the items on it looked really exciting and we can't wait to try them.
