To be honest, my first instinct was to pass it by because of numerous bad experiences with small 'western-food' restaurants in Hong Kong's back streets. The only reason I went in was because the young woman standing at the door chatted with me in such a nice manner (not pushy, but friendly).

I ordered the Duck Breast in Red Wine Sauce with some steamed rice and a Coke. The food didn't take long to arrive. I was SO pleasantly surprised by this meal. The duck was tasty and tender, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. With no service charge, and a total bill well under $100 HKD, I felt like it was such a bargain. Well done Buddies'.
