It was like my food adventure had come full circle after having this fantastic American-Italian meal at Mo Bros for my birthday dinner. I love the cozy atmosphere, oldie music and the hearty and yummy food. For us six adults and a kid, we shared a salad, a meat board, two pastas, 2 main courses, as well as a bottle of red and a bottle of white Italian wine. Onto the Meat On A Board with Sliced Fumagalli Salami, Prosciutto San Daniele Principe, and Coppa (cured pork), I purposely skipped option Mortadella to be on the safe side but given the fact that all meat tasted good, I could indeed be more adventuous next time.
Our next dish was Insalata Mista with Salad Greens, Fresh Cherry Tomatoes, Red Onions, Goat Cheese, Toasted Pine Nuts, Raisins, Shredded Carrots, Avocado which was very appetizing.
Their signature Baked Mostaccioli with Chicago Style Sausage, was hearty and delicious even though I was no meat lover.
I chose one of my all-time favourite dishes Spaghetti Vongole to see if they were good at seafood item and this again proved delicious. The US Manilla clams were fresh and sweet with yummy broth.
Their Chicken Parmesan with Breaded Chicken Breast, Rich Tomato Sauce, Melted with Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese was another delicious dish with moist chicken and yummy tomato sauce albeit on the salty side.
Lastly, the Grilled Salmon with Lemon, Butter, Grilled Vegetables was good too.
The only thing that was not perfect was that wine wasn't served cool enough and needed to be sent to the ice bucket to chill. All together, it was a lovely evening celebrating my birthday with tasty and homey food with fabulous friends.
