This week, there was a big Thanksgiving sale in Sogo. Half way of shopping in Causeway Bay, my cousin Sabrina and I needed a lunch break. We decided to try out this fusion restaurant – Tai Pai Tong Hong Kong that my colleague has recommended all the time.We arrived the restaurant at 1, and there was quite some wait. After waiting for 15 minutes, we got seated. The restaurant has a Weekly Lunch Menu that changes every week.  The price ranges from $98 to $168, which includes soup, bread plus coffe

The bread came out soft and hot. It must be freshly baked out from the oven. It paired very well with the cream of carrot soup that they serve. The carrot soup is not too creamy, so it’s good for lunch as I would not feel too sleepy or full after drinking.

As we were taking our time, we started with Seafood platter as the appetizer. It came with oyster, abalone, scallop, fresh prawns and razar clam. The quality of the seafood is very decent. I could not feel any frozen taste of the seafood. With a bit of lemon and seafood sauce, it brings out further freshness of the seafood. It has helped to bring up further of our appetite.

Sabrina is on carb-free diet, so she picked Roasted whole fish as her main, and as a big meat lover, I ordered Roasted Bellota Iberico as my main. The portion of entrée was very good. The fish is about 10 inches long, and over 16 ounces. It came with a Thai seafood  sauce with some chilli pepper and vinegar. The meat of the fish was juicy and moist.

Likewise, I also enjoyed my Iberico a lot. The meat was juicy and tender. I could easily cut them with my knife. The side of mashed potato was blened
creamy and rich.

Another highlight of this lunch was, we had ordered Crushed Ice with Red bean and Horlick as well as Submerge Lemon 7-up.
The red bean was very soft, and it has another extra favor by mixing Horlick in there. I had not seen this drink in other restaurants, so I would definitely try again next time when I am back here.

Not to mention, they also have a special tea time menu from 2:30 to 5:30. I would come try next time if I want another shopping break in the later afternoon in Causeway Bay.
