I came in wandering in my mind with what to order, and a waitress kindly made a few suggestions to me. At last I ordered a 羊肉呛汤面, and a piece of the obligatory 牛肉饼, can any customer call it a day without tasting it? I doubt.

For the 羊肉呛汤面，the noodle was redolent with wheat fragrance, alas embarrasingly overcooked, a mushy bowl of it, trivial mistake that a kid making Doll instant noodle would avoid, I couldn't help heaving a long sigh. However, the soup was reasonably intense with taste of mutton, thick to the right extent, though I think most customers would find the few pieces of mutton scattered atop the noodle too thrifty.

The 牛肉饼 was another story, looking outside the pastry was seared beautifully, a bit translucent at the side that you could peer the brown beef juice flowing inside, what a view! Give it a small bite to start with to avoid the spewing out of juice. The brown beef juicy is so savoury, great taste of beef, the beef cake is minced, velvet in texture, promise a reproach to anything alluding to the McDonald's.

The two foods I tried that evening demonstrated that heaven and hell sometimes can get inextricably close, it's true in cullinary world, as in daily life!
