The location of this joint is primo. Beach level. Very cool decor. Very surfer style. Lots of cool old long boards all over the walls. Neat little bar area out front with a full blown DJ spinning some groovin' house vibes.Very friendly, French staff. The manager seated us and gave us the rundown and some suggestions on food. We took his advice and ordered one of everything (almost) from the top of the menu on down. Shrimp cocktail was good. But pretty hard to screw up cold shrimp. Nice horseradi

Very friendly, French staff. The manager seated us and gave us the rundown and some suggestions on food. We took his advice and ordered one of everything (almost) from the top of the menu on down. Shrimp cocktail was good. But pretty hard to screw up cold shrimp. Nice horseradish flavor in the cocktail sauce.
After that, we split an 8 ounce steak, cooked more rare than medium, that was not hot. Okay flavor but it was sliced for us and must have sat in the window a bit longer than needed. Combined that with the gnocchi which was good but the enoki mushrooms made up the majority of the dish. Some portobello nuggets tossed in added more mushroom flavor. Lots of mushrooms in that dish.
Also had the broccoli and cheese to go with those two. Tasted pretty typical for broc and cheese but, the cheese had kind of a gritty texture. Weird. There was also some green stuff around the edge of the plate that had no flavor.
Ordered coffee and a brownie with ice cream for dessert. That's when they forgot about us. Dessert took 15 mins at least. The brownie was hot, and hard. The ice cream was in short supply but, the candied walnuts were good. Oh and the coffee never made it so we told them to take it off the bill.

When we finally got the the bill, they forgot about us again. After waiting for another 15 mins, I took my cc up to the register area and waited until someone came over to help. They don't have a service charge because they "believe in tipping". They need to add the service charge until they step up their game. Or at least until they hire better or maybe train their staff better. 
A couple glasses of a good white vino brought the total up to 1K honkies for two. Not worth it. Guessed I should have stayed with the theme and got a burger instead.
