My second time coming to this small restaurant in Peng Chau. Was attracted by the fact that all dim sums were made in house. The seats and deco were pretty basic, but the good food and friendly service more than made up for it. Chiu Chow Dumplings Saw these in a dim sum cart when we sat down, and we grabbed a dish upon recommendation from the cart lady. The skin was nice and soft, and yet the inside was filled with sumptious ingredients including minced meat and vegies. Yummy! Steamed rice

Steamed rice bowl with chicken and mushrooms This was served pipping hot. It looked just like a simple bowl of rice topped with chicken and shitake mushrooms, but I was surprised how the nice the rice tasted as it was filled with the flavours of the chicken and mushrooms.
Beef Tripes I'm not a big fan of tripes but the lady recommended us to try as they were fresh. Happy to have tried - they were very fresh indeed and didn't have (and didn't need) much additional flavouring - just shredded spring onions, carrots and ginger.
Choi Sum The vegetables tasted very fresh and the fried garlic topping gave it a bit of colour and uniqueness. Should have asked for less oil though!
Steamed pork bun The bun was ordinary, with not much pork meat in it (mainly sauce).
Sticky rice bun Ordered this because it's not common to find these days. It was filling but nothing special.
We ordered jasmine tea to go with the dim sums. The tea was aromatic and refreshing - better what in get in some of the large chained Chinese restaurants in the city.
Will definitely come back when we visit Peng Chau in the future. Given its good service and food quality vs. the relatively low price, it is a rarity in Hong Kong these days!
