I am working in Central so I always have chance to pass around this wine bar. Most of the time when I walked around Hollywood Road in the evening, I saw crowd of people inside.This time when I was there at 4:30pm, it was quiet. This time when I was there at 4:30pm, it was quiet. And because I was hungry, so I made my first attempt on it.
Probably it was still office hours, so I was the only guest when I entered.
iPads were placed on most of the tables as additional menu. I could choose and see the food photos before I placed my orders.
Firstly, I ordered a starter - Marin Camembert and Mushroom Bruschetta @ $88.
The nose was clean and clear with hint of berries.
The taste of wine is sweet, with medium body, medium tannin and low acidity.
It was perfect balanced the cheese and mushroom inside my mouth.
However, I though the portion was not large enough to fit my stomach.
Then I went for another dish - California Sliders with Angus Beef Burger and Bravo Farms Cheddar Cheese @ $98
The burgers were juicy. And the homemade tomato sauce was very nice.
Actually, I preferred some English mustard with the burger, and there was no fries to come with the tomato sauce.
So I thought it was a little bit wastage for the nice sauce.
Overall, the food was delicious with nice presentation, the wine was good, and the service was excellent.
I am 100% sure I will come back.
