Boyfriend and I were in Hung Hom to originally eat at Iconic H for a weird hotdog but when we got there, there clearly wasn't any room to even stand. So, we walked down the street and came here. There seemed to be a shorter line (we were the second one in line), so we came and ate here for dinner.Seafood Stand is a colorful restaurant with a nautical theme. Seafood Stand is a colorful restaurant with a nautical theme. It serves burgers and pasta with a seafood spin on things. They have another branch in Tsim Sha Tsui I later found out but this is their original location. Seating is a bit cramped as it's all on small little tables and high chair-like stools.
As we were in the mood for a burger, we ordered two different burgers instead of the pasta or other main seafood meals. Menu is in English and Chinese with photos. It's a one piece laminated page. You order and pay at the cashier and they bring your food to you when ready. Service was a bit scattered as we sat there for a bit with no menu. The couple next to us were in the same state. So, boyfriend just got up and grabbed two menus from the front of the restaurant. When a staff member who was showing people to their seats saw boyfriend get up to grab a menu, she rushed over to apologize. Yeah ... service was scattered considering it's been open for a while.
Peach Soda ($22). This was .... how can I put it nicely. It tasted like when McDonald's does those silly mix drinks with the words soda on it? Yeah. That's exactly what it tasted like. Peach syrup mixed with Sprite. I should have ordered a normal ice lemon tea. Cottage Fries ($28). These were pretty good and very munchable. Crispy exterior. Soft interior. The coating had a nice paprika like taste. The strange thing was they added nori on top but I guess to follow the seafood theme. They don't have ketchup. Instead they have that shrimp cocktail sauce. Um...yeah. I like my fries with ketchup. This wasn't the same. King of Devils Beef Burger ($56) and Crab and Shrimp Burger ($78). For some reason they put both burgers on one wooden board and then gave a smaller board for eating off of. I don't know why they did this. I noticed they did that, too for a table of four. One big board and three smaller boards for eating off of. Tables are small and cramped enough. Why so many boards to further make the place feel even more cramped? I don't understand this. Anyways....
King of Devil's Beef Burger is on the left. They have a promo where if you like their Facebook page, they will upgrade the patty to wagyu for free. For some strange reason, this was not taken off the bill and boyfriend had to ask them if it really wasn't a free upgrade. This was followed by another apology and around $20 was refunded. The patty was grilled to a well done but it was still juicy. Probably due to it being wagyu? I don't know. I think wagyu beef burgers are over rated anyways as I make a pretty good burger without using wagyu. Any how ... it was pretty good as burgers go. The bun was extremely good. It had a nice sweet taste and was nicely toasted. I think I like the bun a lot more than the patty.
Crab and Shrimp Burger is on the right. This was a pretty disappointing burger. All it included was soft shell crab and two, yes, two shrimp. Yes, the shrimp was even placed on one side of the burger. I expected a bit more shrimp but nope. Only two. However, the shrimp was fresh and though the crab tasted extremely oily, it was still tasty enough. It was alright but I doubt I'd order it again. Burgers were ok though not spectacular. Restaurant is way too crowded and seating wasn't exactly comfortable. Service was scattered. Might return if I was in the area and wanted a burger as options here are pretty limited on that type of food.
