Don Don Ya serves quality casual Japanese dishes in a clean and spacious environment. The line can be very long here during lunch hours so best to come early. Grilled Pork Rice Bowl ($75) - my donburi arrived on a nice little tray with my rice bowl, pickled vegetables, and spoon. There was a generous amount of pork and the pork belly was nicely marinated with a sweet sauce. The pork was flavorful and fatty, which was tasty to eat with the Japanese rice. The pickled vegetable was sour and tart, which was refreshing to go with the pork. A satisfying dish overall!
The food here may not be the best Japanese food but it is what it is for price and quality. It's a decent place for a quick meal as the food comes out relatively fast and the service is prompt.
