Unforgettable impression about this well-known restaurant must be their massive portion.I have never thought of trying this restaurant because of the crazy long queue. I have never thought of trying this restaurant because of the crazy long queue. This time, seeing the queue wasn't as long as usual, I decided to give a try.
Restaurant opens at 1830 while the queue starts before 1800. Greeting by the friendly staff when walking in, despite restaurant wasn't spacious, it still gave a coziness. I ordered their signature deep fried pork chop rice with curry and added a plate of vegetables and a coke.
Food came right after my order. The portion in front of me was unbelievable, three bowls of rice plus two big pieces of chicken. I wouldn't believe everybody can finish either of it or even all.
Chicken was crispy and tender. Moist and savoury. The cut of chicken was lean, just the cut I prefer. Curry wasn't anything special, just like those could find at any Cha Chaan Ting out there. Two big chunks of potatoes were also served alongside. It was well spiced but not on a spicy hot side.
By adding extra HKD10 for the vegetables and soft drinks/soup. Their vegetables were sweet and fresh. A good one.
Personally, I found it overpriced. HKD94 for a plate of curry meat rice. Despite it was in big portion, I could barely see anybody able to finish it. Some packed away while some of course just a waste. Meat was cooked to perfection while the main focus of curry to me was just alright. I'd go for Halal ones in food market instead if similar venue.
