I just had lunch there with my friend. The temperature of today is at least 33C at noon time. I went there because my friend suggested we should go there.We made a booking for 2 at 1:00pm. When we arrived there, we were left at the reception (if you called that a reception) for 3 minutes. Others who walked in didnt hv to wait. We were led to the far end of the restaurant. Since then I realised it's such a bad location. Its furthest away from the main corridor and you really hd to wave hard (or throw something at the mirror wall to break it in order to attract the attention of the staff there).
The time btw we ordered and food arrived was 35 minutes. Food was so so. The 2 ladies sitting next to us were complaining, but they knew the boss (I assume) name is "Sam! Sam!" and in compensation for their late food arrival, they hd desserts free.
Sam mentioned that the chef was sick. Well- If I were them I would just tell who called and made a reservation, just a courtesy to tell customers who will call and book in advance and manage their expectation of the speed of food delivery. Now they are getting another bad review in return for that.
Staff are basically lost and unfriendly. Looking at the price level and the heat they also hd to suffer, I gave up on criticizing. It's just like a hawker place under cover.
Aircond was barely existent so think 10 times before you wanted to go there esp in a hot summer like this. You basically have to fight with 40-50 other ppl for fresh air (not to mention cool air).
I will never go there again. However I think it's going to survive bcos of the price.
I would be surprised if another friend suggested this place to me again.
