A collegue and I had decided to go to Teakha after work, but that day there was torrential rain so we decided to settle for this agnes b cafe close by. When we arrived at around 5pm the place was pretty much packed, we found ourselves a little table for two near the door. There's a florist in this agnes b- very pretty.Lovely atmosphere inside, nice and aquaint. Ideal for a girly catch up or cuppa with the other half. Lovely atmosphere inside, nice and aquaint. Ideal for a girly catch up or cuppa with the other half. Quite a variety of food and drink available- tea, coffee, cakes, pastries, sandwiches, salads. My collegue doesn't like coffee so chose hot chocolate, it was topped with mini marshmallows- yum! I decided to try the creme brulee cafe au lait... never came across this before so thought i'd give it a go. These were made quickly on the spot while I waited. We decided to share something sweet, the 'Delices,' a little pyramid shape chocolate dessert- chocolate mousse, ganache, raspberry, feuilletine. This was lovely, melt in the mouth, smooth and delicate. Very chocolatey, good choice! My creme brulee cafe au lait was simple looking, a plain line of syrup on top, tasted alright. Smooth coffee, sweet due to the 'creme brulee' taste, but not too strong.
Popped to the loo before we set off... nice decor and clean, always a bonus fits in nicely with the aura of agnes b. Overall this first experience of agnes b has been lovely, loved the chocolate treat, nice relaxed atmosphere.
