Having already tried the Macarons of Le Gouter Bernaudaud (LGB), La Maison du Chocolat and Jean Paul Hevin (JPH), my conclusion is that the JPH Macarons are the best for my taste bud.The La Maison Macaroons are so damn sweet, even though they have more fillings in the middle. One could barely taste which flavour the Macarons are from the La Maison selections. The middle fillings are also very jammy - for example for the Raspberry or Passionfruit macarons, they were too sweet and confectionary in

Plus the Macaron outer case in La Maison tastes nothing like the description, and are overly sugary.... If people think La Maison's macarons have more 'inner fillings' even though its a crappier fillings and that's an advantage - then may I suggest they buy the Pierre Herme Macarons instead as that's filled up with ingredients but tastes much better than the La Maison version.
The JPH Macarons meanwhile, from the crunchy outer crust and then a more chewy inside texture to the inside fillings, taste original to their intended taste, without being too sweet. The texture is also much better than the La Maison ones, which are only crunchy on the outside but very thin and not chewy on the inside.
LGB macarons meanwhile are not even worth reviewing. They are the sweetest of the trio, also has a big almond taste in each macaron flavour, due to using too much almond paste/almond meal as a filler in the macaron crust. Having said that, even LGB's inner fillings is much better than the La Maison's overly sugary and jammy inside, as at least one could taste a bit of its intended taste.
Jean Paul Hevin's Dark Chocolates are also better than La Maison, as it has a fresher and lingering aftertaste compared to the overly sweet La Maison du Chocolat's dark chocolates. Having said that, JPH's Ganache filled chocolates are not that good - certainly not as good as something like Spain's Oriol Balaguer selections or even Valrhona, or Neuhaus, etc.
