Due to recent work I have to wander around Central often. In such a competitive street of Soho for middle-high range restaurants, Bistronomique keeps its low profile among the sea of competitors. This restaurant decoration is at its lowest profile ---- very neat and simple white lit dimly. Not easy to spot from among the street full of restaurants with outstanding signs and colors. Unlike other restaurants in this districts who they are owned by foreigners, Bistronomique is run by a Hongkonger.

This restaurant decoration is at its lowest profile ---- very neat and simple white lit dimly. Not easy to spot from among the street full of restaurants with outstanding signs and colors.

Unlike other restaurants in this districts who they are owned by foreigners, Bistronomique is run by a Hongkonger. It's pretty interesting as the foods and drinks I had were all related to Marsaille and Provence, France, but the owner is a local. He/she must be a very well-travelled sophosticated individual.
Hotly served wheat bread. Asked them to serve us more.

Their wines reminded me of my time back in Provenxe at my winemaker friend's vineyard. One of the wines I drank here was close to where the vineyard I stayed at. I can't remember exactly which 3 grapes: Syrah, Grenache and one more. Together with another white which is a French Chardonnay, both of them are kinda tannic but light. Very Provencal.

The clams are super delightful but intense basilic aroma chosen fresh daily by the owner at morning market. A small complaint is the clams are so small. Hehe.

Thus salt crusted fish is big enough for 4 people. Salt here being colored green by herbs. The fish serves best with its seaweed stuffing and tomato sauce. If to eat alone too salty.

The lamb fat is a bit gamey but other parts are juicy and ok

The lamb is very simple with a big portion of veggie side. A lot of fats.
My favourite dessert is apple tart

The ice cream is good but the tart is already moisturized.
