Sushi & tappas is a Japanese restaurant at cyberport. It has a wide arrangement of sushi and sashimi with lovely set meals options during lunch time. The place filled up during lunch hour with people waiting outside which is impressive during COVID times. Loved the environment and the atmosphere, but the service could honestly be a lot better. It might be cause they were understaffed but no one ever refilled our water. The food however came timely and was fresh.The grilled salmon steak with asso
The grilled salmon steak with assorted sashimi was 148 HKD, it came with a salad and miso soup. The salad was decent. Nothing too special about it, the dressing was okay with a few cornflakes. The miso soup was also okay. Not a lot of extra ingredients inside, just plain miso soup. All in all the starters were okay. Nothing more and nothing less.
The set option I chose came with assorted sashimi of four pieces. This was honestly the best part of the meal. It was fresh sashimi so that was highly appreciated. The salmon steak was however mighty disappointing. The food wasn’t great at its price point. The size of the salmon steak was on the smaller side with an average teriyaki dressing. The dish came with a lot of side vegetable which is okay. I personally enjoy having a lot of veggies on my plate but I could imagine others not appreciating that fact as much. Would I get this dish again? Most definitely not. Was it an issue of the price point? Not really, I would prefer to try something else on the menu. Most likely their sushi option since it looks a lot better.
