I'm a regular in typhoon in wan chai, but had never been upstairs to jacks. However one, after a couple of beers, my mate and I wconvicted cued by the charming Belinda to give it a try. the salad was ok, although I wasn't a huge fan of the mozzarella, which was fresh but a little soft, however the oysters were great. I've had more than my share of bad oysters in hk, but these were clean, fresh and tasty. I helped my friend finish them.
the rib eye was succulent and tasty.... I ordered medium, and it was perfectly pink in the middle. There was a mushroom sauce on the side, which the steak didn't need, but it went well with the vegetables. The best though was the lamb chops, very juicy, with a strong taste that wasn't over powering, and soft texture, not at all chewey.
the service was attentive, although not as charming as Belinda!
after stealing much of my mates food, I was too full for desert, but I had to pay the cheque... 800 including drinks.
i would recommend this as a good place for European food after a few wan chai beers.
