An interesting find in Sheung Wan nestled next to a minipark on Cleverly Street is the MedOver, offering Mediterranean cuisine, more specifically Greco-Turkish fare of Aegean. (Food is the one of the few areas in which Greeks and Turks do not clash.) While the Moussaka, could be more pleasing to the eye, my companion said it tasted first rate. My Chicken Pidezza ($72), sort of a pizza on a bread boat, looked appetising with its rich chicken-based topping and finely sliced peppers and veg garnish

My Chicken Pidezza ($72), sort of a pizza on a bread boat, looked appetising with its rich chicken-based topping and finely sliced peppers and veg garnish. While taste did not disappoint, what made it special was the bread, which was made on site. What's more MedOven, supplies its super tasty bread to local restos daily. Finally came the gyros ($59), which comes in beef and chicken versions. This is taken with yogurt which one can squirt to taste. Again what makes it special is the quality of the pita bread - again home made. If you like the pita bread, which you most assuredly will, and choose to order another, be prepared for a wait for heat-up, as it is just the thing to accompany a kebab. Excellence takes a little longer.
